New York, NY March, 2012 - Host of the Food Network's Mexican Made Easy and best-selling cookbook author Marcela Valladolid announces a partnership with the New York City-based Prima Design to develop a serveware and food prep line that will be available later this year. The new collection Marcela for Prima Design, consisting of over 100 items, will be revealed for the first time at the 2012 New York Tabletop Show on April 17, 2012.
"Prima Design is absolutely thrilled to be partnering with Marcela Valladolid," says Evan Hakimi, President of Prima Design. "Marcela is a bona fide talent in the culinary world and an influential personality in the Latino community."
Host of her own Food Network show, Mexican Made Easy, and author of Fresh Mexico: 100 Simple for True Mexican Flavor and Mexican Made Easy, the companion book to her TV Show, Marcela has developed an enthusiastic following for those seeking out authentic yet accessible Mexican food.
Marcela for Prima Design will feature tabletop and kitchen products that are true to Marcela's design aesthetic.
"The line is completely reflective of Marcela's energetic and colorful personality" says Shawn Solon, Director of Product Development and Design at Prima. "She is directly involved in the design process to ensure it is her own, and unique to the market."
"My goal has always been to enhance the perception of Mexican culture and lifestyle," adds Marcela. "My collection is an authentic Latin-influenced look that is young, colorful and sophisticated."
This look coincides with the continued emergence of global style in the marketplace, and the rise of Latin influence in America today.
